New Location for PARADISE Gathering

PARADISE has outgrown its present location and is moving to one that will accommodate an even larger gathering. The field is located south and east of the original PARADISE venue.

Changing worship fields has become a necessity in order to allow many more students to attend, to gather to worship in safety because of much more manageable logistics.

The PARADISE journey and gathering were named after a small town in Kansas named Paradise. The name made sense because:

  • The town was near the center of the nation and thus symbolized the hope that whatever students experienced standing before Christ the King might be taken from that place to families, churches, and communities all over the nation.
  • The little town was in a rural setting and seemed to call for a gathering in a quiet field removed from the noise and distractions of the city.
  • The name PARADISE was a reminder that those who gather will surround and adore the risen Christ in a way that will foreshadow what the saints in heaven do today and what all of us will be doing forever when Christ returns in triumph.

The name itself has been solidified in people’s minds. Now it is time to expand the capacity for the number of believers who safely can assemble on May 25.

Therefore, the PARADISE board believes it is time to move to a worship field that is:

  • About thirty minutes south of Kansas City, near Highway 69 and twenty miles south of Highway 68.
  • Still in Kansas, known to all as the center of the nation.
  • Rural and quiet, yet close enough to the city to arrange security, emergency health care, and hygiene for a larger multitude.
  • Completely remote in atmosphere but easily accessible from major highways.
  • A shorter drive from major airports and rail terminals.
  • More conducive for groups that want to arrange lodging and meals within a reasonable distance, even making camping a positive option for many groups.

The change of location is an official action of the PARADISE board as well as the owners of the new field.
Please take note: Groups can begin today to adjust their travel plans toward the new location.

Paradise, Kansas, Remains Special

Believers always will be grateful for the little town called Paradise. It provided the name and the worship focus that now will be experienced by a much greater multitude. You might say the original field was the beginning of a journey destined to lead believers into a deepening encounter with King Jesus as supreme.
